Le Breuil-sous-Argenton is a village in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwest France . The previously independent municipality was merged with Argenton-les-Vallées , La Chapelle-Gaudin , La Coudre , Moutiers-sous-Argenton and Ulcot to form Commune nouvelle Argentonnay with effect from January 1, 2016 . Since then it has had the status of a commune déléguée with 478 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Neighboring towns are Saint-Maurice-la-Fougereuse in the north-west, Genneton in the north, Ulcot in the north-east, Massais in the east, Moutiers-sous-Argenton in the south-east and Argenton-les-Vallées in the south-west.
