Voulmentin is a commune in the French department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the canton of Argenton-les-Vallées in the Arrondissement of Bressuire . It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2013 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Voultegon and Saint-Clémentin .

It bordered in the west on Nueil-les-Aubiers , in the north on Saint Maurice Étusson with Étusson , in the east on Argentonnay with La Coudre , also in the east on Saint-Aubin-du-Plain , in the south on Bressuire and in the southwest on Bretignolles ( Point of contact).
