Faye-l'Abbesse is about eight kilometers east of Bressuire on the Thouaret , which borders the municipality to the south and east. Faye-l'Abbesse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Geay and Pierrefitte in the north, Glénay in the northeast, Boussais in the east and southeast, Chiché in the south and Bressuire in the west.
