Louzy is a French commune with 1,358 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Bressuire and the canton Thouars (until 2015 the municipality belonged to the canton Thouars-2 ).

Louzy is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Bressuire in the Anjou wine region . Louzy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brion-près-Thouet in the north, Saint-Cyr-la-Lande in the northeast, Saint-Léger-de-Montbrun in the east and southeast, Thouars in the south and southwest, Sainte-Verge in the west and Saint- Martin-de-Sanzay in the northwest.
