The Canton Thouars-2 was until 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement Bressuire , in Deux-Sevres and in the region of Poitou-Charentes ; its main place was Thouars . Bernard Paineau ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Department from 1994 to 2015 .
It was on average 73 meters above sea level , between 32 meters in Saint-Martin-de-Sanzay and 120 meters in Mauzé-Thouarsais .
The canton was merged into the new canton of Thouars in 2015 .
