The canton Niort-Nord was a French constituency in the Arrondissement Niort , in the Deux-Sèvres department and in the Poitou-Charentes region until 2015 ; its main place was Niort . His representative in the Conseil Régional des Départements for the years 2008 to 2010 was Françoise Billy ( PS ). It was followed by Bernard Millet (also PS).
geography
The canton was located in the southeast of the Deux-Sèvres department. In the southwest it bordered on the canton Niort-Ouest , in the west on the Vendée department , in the northwest on the canton Coulonges-sur-l'Autize , in the north on the canton Champdeniers-Saint-Denis , in the east on the canton Saint-Maixent -l'École-1 , in the southeast to the canton Prahecq and in the south to the canton Niort-Est .
