Sciecq is a French municipality with 638 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the Canton of Autize-Égray (until 2015: Canton of Niort-Nord ).
geography
Sciecq is located about six kilometers north of Niort city center in a loop of the Sèvre Niortaise . Sciecq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Maxire in the north, Échire in the east and northeast, Niort in the south and Saint-Rémy in the west.
