Germond-Rouvre is a French commune with 1,174 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the canton of Autize-Égray (until 2015: canton of Champdeniers-Saint-Denis ). The inhabitants are called Germo-Roburiens .

Germond-Rouvre is about 60 kilometers west-southwest of Poitiers and about 15 kilometers north of Niort . Germond-Rouvre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cours in the north and north-west, Champdeniers in the north-east, Cherveux in the east, Échiré in the south and Sainte-Ouenne in the west and south-west.

In 1973 the previously independent municipalities of Germond and Rouvre were merged.
