Couture d'Argenson is a French municipality with 379 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Niort and is part of the canton Melle (until 2015 Chef-Boutonne ). The inhabitants are called couturois .

Couture-d'Argenson is located about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Niort on the named Couture River . Couture-d'Argenson is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villemain in the north and north-west, Loubillé in the north and north-east, Paizay-Naudouin-Embourie in the north-east, Longré in the east, Saint-Fraigne in the south and south-east, Les Gours in the south, and Chives in the south-west as well as Villiers couture in the west.
