Beauvoir-sur-Niort is about 15 kilometers south of Niort . Beauvoir-sur-Niort is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Granzay-Gript in the north and northwest, Marigny in the east and northeast, Villiers-en-Bois in the southeast, Plaine-d'Argenson in the south and La Foye-Monjault in the west.

The formerly independent municipalities Le Cormenier and Le Revêtizon were merged with Beauvoir-sur-Niort in 1973.
