Augé is a French municipality with 910 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the canton of Saint-Maixent-l'École (until 2015: Canton of Saint-Maixent-l'École-1 ). The inhabitants are called Augéens .

geography

Augé is located about 19 kilometers east-northeast of Niort . Augé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Verruyes in the north, Saint-Georges-de-Noisné in the north and north-east, Saivres in the east, Azay-le-Brûlé in the south and south-east, Cherveux in the south-west and La Chapelle-Bâton in the west and north-west.
