Brioux-sur-Boutonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Périgné in the north and north-west, Mazières-sur-Béronne in the north and north-east, Paizay-le-Tort in the north-east, Lusseray in the east, Chérigné in the south-east, Asnières-en-Poitou and Juillé in the South, Villefollet in the southwest, Séligné in the west and Vernoux-sur-Boutonne in the west and northwest.
