Paizay-le-Tort is a commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Melle with 477 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in French Deux-Sevres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ).
The municipality of Paizay-le-Tort was merged with Melle , Mazières-sur-Béronne , Saint-Léger-de-la-Martinière and Saint-Martin-lès-Melle to form the Commune nouvelle Melle on January 1, 2019 . Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Paizay-le-Tort belonged to the canton of Melle in the Arrondissement of Niort .

Paizay-le-Tort is about 26 kilometers east-southeast of Niort . The municipality of Paizay-le-Tort was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Mazières-sur-Béronne in the north and west, Saint-Génard in the north and northeast, Tillou in the east, Lusseray in the south and southeast and Brioux-sur-Boutonne in the south and southwest.
