Tillou is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Chef-Boutonne with 336 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ).
On January 1st, 2019, the municipality of Tillou merged with Chef-Boutonne , Crézières and La Bataille to form the Commune nouvelle Chef-Boutonne. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Tillou belonged to the Arrondissement Niort and is part of the canton Melle (until 2015 Chef-Boutonne ).

Tillou is about 45 kilometers southeast of Niort . The municipality of Tillou was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Génard in the north, Sompt in the east and northeast, Gournay-Loizé in the east and southeast, Chef-Boutonne in the south and southeast, Fontenille-Saint-Martin-d'Entraigues in the south, Luché- sur-Brioux in the southwest, Lusseray in the west and Paizay-le-Tort in the northwest.
