Nanteuil is about 24 kilometers east-northeast of Niort . The Sèvre Niortaise forms the southern municipal boundary. Nanteuil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Exireuil in the north and north-west, Fomperron in the north and north-east, Soudan in the east and north-east, Sainte-Eanne in the south-east, Saint-Martin-de-Saint-Maixent in the south and south-west and Saint-Maixent-l ' École in the west.

The A10 autoroute runs through the municipality .
