Marigny is a French municipality with 877 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the Canton of Mignon-et-Boutonne (until 2015: Canton of Beauvoir-sur-Niort ).

Marigny is about 15 kilometers south-southeast of Niort . Marigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fors in the north, Juscorps in the northeast, Saint-Romans-des-Champs in the east, Les Fosses in the southeast, Villiers-en-Bois in the south, Beauvoir-sur-Niort in the west and southwest and Granzay-Gript in the north-west.

The A10 car route runs along the north-western edge of the municipality . The station is on the Chartres – Bordeaux line .
