Villefollet is a French municipality with 216 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and is part of the canton of Mignon-et-Boutonne ( Brioux-sur-Boutonne until 2015 ).

Villefollet is about 30 kilometers southeast of Niort . Villefollet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Séligné in the north, Brioux-sur-Boutonne in the northeast, Juillé in the east, Ensigné and Villiers-sur-Chizé in the south and Brieuil-sur-Chizé in the west.
