Prailes-La Couarde is a French municipality with 949 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the canton of Celles-sur-Belle .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Prailles and La Couarde , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Prailles.
