Sainte-Soline is a French municipality with 358 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Canton Celles-sur-Belle in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
After the city, the writer Claire Sainte-Soline chose her pseudonym.
geography
Sainte-Soline is located in the historic Poitou countryside , about 39 kilometers east of the city of Niort . Neighboring municipalities are Lezay and Saint-Coutant in the west, Clussais-la-Pommeraie in the south, Pers , Vanzay and Messé in the east, and Rome and Vançais in the north.
The main town is located in the west of the municipality on the river Dive , at the Department of Road D15 of Lezay by Vanzay. There are several small forests between Lezay and Sainte-Soline ( Bois du Chapitre , Bois de la Drouille ). In the northeast of the municipality are the other localities Asnières, Bonneuil and Verrines.
