Marcillé is a French commune of 760 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Deux-Sevres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the Canton of Melle .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the former communes of Saint-Génard and Pouffonds , which have since had the status of Commune déléguée in the new commune . The Mairie is located in Saint-Génard.
