Le Bourdet is a French municipality with 584 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the canton of Mignon-et-Boutonne (until 2015 Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon ).

Le Bourdet is about 58 kilometers east of La Rochelle and about 18 kilometers southwest of Niort . Le Bourdet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Georges-de-Rex in the north, Amuré in the north and east, Épannes in the south-east, Prin-Deyrançon in the south and Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud in the west and north-west.
