Exireuil is a French commune with 1,583 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the Canton of Saint-Maixent-l'École (until 2015: Canton of Saint-Maixent-l'École-2 ). The inhabitants are called Exirois .

geography

Exireuil is about 24 kilometers northeast of Niort . The Chambon flows to the west . Exireuil is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Clavé in the north and northwest, Les Châteliers with Chantecorps in the north and northeast, Fomperon in the east and northeast, Nanteuil in the south and southeast, Saint-Maixent-l'École in the south and southwest, Saivres in the west and southwest and Saint-Georges-de-Noisné to the west.
