Saint-Georges-de-Rex is a French municipality with 441 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and the canton of Mignon-et-Boutonne (until 2015: Canton of Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon ).

Saint-Georges-de-Rex is about 40 kilometers east-northeast of La Rochelle and about 15 kilometers west-southwest of Niort . Numerous canals run through the community. Saint-Georges-de-Rex is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Vanneau-Irleau in the north, Sansais in the east and northeast, Amuré in the east, Le Bourdet in the south, Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud in the west and Arçais in the northwest.
