Villiers-en-Plaine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ardin in the north, Faye-sur-Ardin in the north and north-east, Saint-Maxire in the east, Saint-Rémy in the south, Benet in the south-west and Saint-Pompain in the west.
The A83 autoroute and the former route nationale 744 (today's D744) run through the municipality .
