Azay-le-Brûlé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Augé in the north and north-west, Saivres in the north, Saint-Maixent-l'École in the north-east, Saint-Martin-de-Saint-Maixent in the east, Sainte-Néomaye in the south, La Crèche in the south and west and Cherveux in the west.
