Lorigné is a French commune of 300 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Niort and is part of the canton of Melle ( Sauzé-Vaussais until 2015 ).

Lorigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Pouilloux in the north, Sauzé-Vaussais in the east and northeast, Montjean in the southeast, La Forêt-de-Tessé in the south, Pioussay in the south and southwest, Valdelaume with Hanc in the west and southwest and Melleran in the Northwest.
