Pioussay is a place in the French community Valdelaume and a former municipality last 301 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2015) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ).

The municipality of Pioussay merged with Bouin , Hanc and Ardilleux to form the municipality of Valdelaume on January 1st, 2019 . The municipality of Pioussay belonged to the Arrondissement Niort and is part of the canton of Melle (until 2015 Chef-Boutonne ).

Pioussay is about 54 kilometers southeast of Niort . The municipality of Pioussay was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Hanc in the north and west, La Forêt-de-Tessé in the east, Theil-Rabier in the south and southeast, and Paizay-Naudouin-Embourie in the south and southwest.
