The canton Prahecq was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Niort , in the Deux-Sevres and in the region of Poitou-Charentes ; its main town was Prahecq . Magdeleine Pradère ( PS ) was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 2012 to 2015 .

The canton Prahecq was 144.79 km² and had 11,969 inhabitants ( as of 1999 ), which corresponded to a population density of around 83 inhabitants per km². It was on average 54 meters above sea ​​level , between 13 meters in Aiffres and 93 meters in Vouillé .
