The canton Thouars-1 is a former French canton in the Arrondissement Bressuire , in the Deux-Sèvres department and in the Poitou-Charentes region , which existed until 2015 ; its main place was Thouars . From 2004, Patrice Pineau ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Department .

The canton was on average 83 meters above sea ​​level , between 36 meters in Tourtenay and 133 meters in Oiron .
