The Evangelical Parish Church Timelkam is located in Timelkam in the market town of Timelkam in the Vöcklabruck district in Upper Austria . The parish church belongs to the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Upper Austria . The church is a listed building .

history

The Church of St. Johannes Nepomuk was built in 1733 as a private Catholic church. In 1735 it was built as a branch church of Oberthalheim by Prince-Bishop Josef Graf von Lamberg St. Consecrated to Johannes Nepomuk. In 1950 the Catholic parish in Oberthalheim came into the possession of the church. In 1951 the parish rights were also transferred to Timelkam and the church was elevated to a Catholic parish church. With the new construction of the Catholic parish church in Timelkam , the Protestant parish was able to rent the Johannes church and hold services from 1969.

The Protestant parish AB Timelkam has owned the church since August 1980. The church building is still known as St. John's Church. The altarpiece by the painter Altomonte remained in the possession of the Catholic parish. In 2009 the Protestant parish extensively renovated the church.

architecture

The hall church with a half-set tower has a recessed semicircular choir. The portal is kept simple and made of sandstone. The nave windows are simple arched windows.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1733, restored in 1956, shows an altarpiece by Martin Altomonte (1733) and has good statues (1733). The wrought-iron perspective grille is from the 19th century. The organ with 6 registers is located on the gallery above the entrance and comes from the organ builder Wndtner.
