Saint-Laon is a French municipality with 126 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun . The inhabitants are called messeméens
geography
Saint-Laon is located about 58 kilometers north-northwest of Châtellerault on the Canal de la Dive . Saint-Laon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ranton and Glénouze in the north, Mouterre-Silly in the northeast, Arçay in the south and east, Oiron in the west and southwest and Pas-de-Jeu in the west.
