Cenon-sur-Vienne is a French commune with 1,778 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Chavigny (until 2015: canton of Vouneuil-sur-Vienne ) and the community association Communauté d'agglomération du Pays Châtelleraudais . The inhabitants are called Cenonais .

Cenon-sur-Vienne is located at the confluence of the Clain and Vienne , about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Poitiers . Cenon-sur-Vienne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Châtellerault in the north, Availles-en-Châtellerault in the east, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne in the south and Naintré in the west.
Cenon-sur-Vienne is located on the Via Turonensis , a section of the Camino de Santiago .
