Orches is a French municipality with 410 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Châtellerault-2 (until 2015 Lencloître ).

Orches is about 18 kilometers northwest of Châtellerault . Orches is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sérigny in the north and northeast, Sossais in the east and southeast, Saint-Genest-d'Ambière in the south, Savigny-sous-Faye in the west and southwest and Berthegon in the northwest.
