Messemé is about 52 kilometers north-north-west of Châtellerault . Messemé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sammarçolles in the north, Ceaux-en-Loudun in the east and northeast, La Roche-Rigault in the south and Loudun in the west and southwest.
