The Hintere Dick-Eisenbolz nature reserve is located in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 54.63 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1998 , extends west of Bad Salzig , a district of the city of Boppard . Not far to the south, the Salziger Bach flows. The state road L 212 runs through the area and the Rhine flows to the east .
The protection purpose is the maintenance and development of the orchards and meadows
- as a habitat for rare, threatened plant and animal species and the corresponding communities and
- because of their landscape-defining and local character.
