Berthegon is a French village with 306 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun (until 2015: canton of Monts-sur-Guesnes ). The inhabitants are called Berthegonais .

Berthegon is about 35 kilometers north-northwest of Poitiers . Berthegon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Prinçay in the north, Sérigny in the east and northeast, Orches in the east and southeast, Savigny-sous-Faye in the south and Saires in the west.
