Craon is a French village with 186 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun (until 2015: canton of Moncontour ). The inhabitants are called Craonnais .

geography

Craon is about 29 kilometers northwest of Poitiers . Craon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Grimaudière in the north, Mazeuil in the east and northeast, Cuhon in the east, Massognes in the east and southeast, Doux in the south, Thénezay in the southwest and Assais-les-Jumeaux in the west and northwest.
