It belongs to the canton of Châtellerault-2 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gervais-les-Trois-Clochers ) in the arrondissement of Châtellerault .
Sérigny is located about 17 kilometers northwest of the city center of Châtellerault in the Pays Châtelleraudais . Sérigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nueil-sous-Faye in the north and north-west, Braye-sous-Faye in the north, Faye-la-Vineuse in the north and north-east, Saint-Christophe in the east, Sossais in the south-east, Orches in the south, Berthegon in the Southwest and Prinçay in the west.
