Mouterre-Silly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Trois-Moutiers in the north, Loudun in the east and northeast, Chalais in the east and southeast, Angliers in the southeast, Martaizé in the south, Ouzilly in the southwest, Arçay in the west and southwest, and Saint-Laon in the west and Glénouze in the west and northwest.
