Verrue is a French village with 391 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châtellerault and the canton of Loudun (until 2015: canton of Monts-sur-Guesnes ).
geography
Verrue is about 34 kilometers north-northwest of Poitiers . The Scévolles forest is partly in the municipal area. Verrue is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Guesnes and Monts-sur-Guesnes in the north, Saires in the east and northeast, Doussay in the east and southeast, Coussay in the south, Saint-Jean-de-Sauves in the west and La Chaussée in the northwest.
