Coussay is a French village with 251 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Loudun (until 2015 Monts-sur-Guesnes ). The inhabitants are called Cusciacuciens .

geography

Coussay is about 24 kilometers west of Châtellerault and about 33 kilometers north-northwest of Poitiers . Coussay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jean-de-Sauves in the north and northwest, Doussay in the east and Chouppes in the south and west.
