Boivre-la-Vallée is a French commune with 3,083 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Vouneuil-sous-Biard .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous municipalities of Lavausseau , Benassay , La Chapelle-Montreuil and Montreuil-Bonnin . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées . The Mairie is located in Lavausseau .

The municipality is located around 20 kilometers west of Poitiers . Neighboring municipalities are Latillé and Chiré-en-Montreuil in the north, Vouillé in the northeast, Béruges in the east, Coulombiers in the southeast, Lusignan and Jazeneuil in the south, Curzay-sur-Vonne in the southwest, Les Forges in the west and Vasles in the northwest.

The municipality is crossed by the Boivre river and the A10 motorway runs along the southern municipal boundary .
