Dissay Town Hall

Dissay is a French municipality with 3233 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It is located in Arrondissement Poitiers and since 2015 part of the canton of Jaunay-Clan . The inhabitants are called Disséens .

geography

Dissay is located on the Clain River about fifteen kilometers north-northeast of Poitiers and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beaumont in the north, Saint-Cyr in the northeast, Bonneuil-Matours in the east, Saint-Georges-lès-Baillargeaux in the south, and Jaunay-Clan in the west and southwest and Marigny-Brizay in the north-west.

Dissay is part of the Haut-Poitou and Coteaux du Loir wine-growing regions . The former route nationale 10 (today's D910) runs through the municipality . Dissay station is on the Paris – Bordeaux line .
