Croutelle is a French village with 851 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Poitiers-1 (until 2015: canton of Poitiers-5 ). The inhabitants are called Croutellois .

Croutelle is about six kilometers southwest of Poitiers city center . Croutelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Poitiers in the north and north-east, Ligugé in the south and east and Fontaine-le-Comte in the west.
