Migné-Auxances is located on the Auxance River and is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Avanton in the north, Chasseneuil-du-Poitou in the east, Buxerolles in the southeast, Poitiers in the south, Pouzoux-La-Jarne in the southwest, Quinçay in the west and Cissé in the northwest.
The national route 147 and 149 run through the municipality .
