Quinçay belongs to the arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Vouneuil-sous-Biard (until 2015: canton of Vouillé ). The inhabitants are called Quincéen (ne) s .

geography

Quinçay is about ten kilometers west of Poitiers on the banks of the Auxance River . Quinçay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cissé in the north, Migné-Auxances in the northeast, Pouzioux-La-Jarrie in the east, Béruges in the south and Vouillé in the west.

Route nationale 149 runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
