Saint-Benoît is a French village with 7233 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Saint-Benoît is located in the Arrondissement of Poitiers and is part of the canton of Poitiers-5 . The inhabitants are called Sancto-Bénédictins .

Saint-Benoît is located on the Clain River , into which the Miosson flows, and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Poitiers in the north, Mignaloux-Beauvoir in the east, Nouaillé-Maupertuis in the southeast, Smarves in the south and Ligugé in the southwest.

Parish partnership
A partnership has existed with the German municipality of Lorch in Hesse since 1976. The community also has a partnership with the British community of Cookham in Berkshire, England.
