Lavoux is a French village with 1,180 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the Arrondissement of Poitiers and the canton of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou (until 2015: canton of Saint-Julien-l'Ars ). The inhabitants are called lavousiens .

Lavoux is about 14 kilometers east-northeast of Poitiers . Lavoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Liniers in the north, Bonnes in the east, Jardres in the south and south-east, Saint-Julien-l'Ars in the south, Sèvres-Anxaumont in the south-west and Bignoux in the west.
