Saint-Martin-la-Pallu (spelling 2019 Saint Martin la Pallu ) is a French municipality with 5546 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It is part of the Jaunay-Clan and Migné-Auxances cantons in the Poitiers arrondissement .

It was created with effect from January 1, 2017 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the formerly independent communities Blaslay , Charrais , Cheneché and Vendeuvre-du-Poitou , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the existing Commune nouvelle was expanded by integrating the previously independent municipality of Varennes , with the additional municipality also having the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Vendeuvre-du-Poitou.
