Cheneché is a village and a former French community with 383 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Poitiers and the Canton of Neuville-de-Poitou . The inhabitants of the place are called Chénipiacéens.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Vendeuvre-du-Poitou , Charrais , Cheneché and Blaslay were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Saint Martin la Pallu and have the status of a Commune déléguée there . The administrative headquarters are in Vendeuvre-du-Poitou.
